ABOUT US

We offer internationally-recognised maritime training and preparation along with associated services with personalised tuition for recreational and professional industry certification.

Our Sea Survival courses are endorsed by ISAF and Yachting New Zealand. We utilise an indoor wave pool to provide a controlled environment for lifejacket/liferaft wet drills to help simulate conditions. SWNZ has been operating since 2003, we provide a variety of marine qualification preparation, along with professional boat and project management. Preparation includes one-one-one or small group tuition and safety tuition using boat-specific safety equipment. SWBENZ is based in Auckland, which gives easy access to the Waitemata Harbour, Weshaven Marina and Hauraki Gulf. However, we do offer nation-wide tuition, tailored to your requirements.

Courses include:

Basic Sea Survival

This is a theory-based course, which will provide the candidate with necessary and knowledge of equipment and its use and limitations.

Advanced Sea Survival

This qualification provides the candidate with training and certification for various ocean passages, both power and sail. This is endorsed by Yachting New Zealand/World Body Of Sailing. The training is rated for Category 1 Offshore passages power and sail.

Preparation and Training

We offer a variety of preparation, both power and sail. Our services cater for recreational and professional requirements, and can be tailored to your marine needs.

SWBENZ is not a RYA School, however personalised training up to the level for Yacht Master Offshore/MCA Certificate of Competency assessment is provided.

SWBENZ is an approved Yachting New Zealand training provider up to the level of ISAF Overnight Skipper Certification and Advanced Sea Survival.

Yachting New Zealand is the National sailing Body of New Zealand.
