Tony Murray Inspections Ltd

Tony Murray Inspections Ltd offers various technical and trade-related inspection services to a big number of customers.

Initially launched under the name of Murray Electrical Services ltd in 1990, the company has narrowed down its range of services in 2010, to focus on more specialized electrical inspection, testing and certification.

Tony Murray, the head of the company, got his registration that allowed him to offer his services as an electrician in 1990. Since 1998 he was registered as an electrical inspector.

Recognised by Maritime NZ as a ‘Design Approval Surveyor – Electrical’ (DAe)

He acquired his thorough knowledge, experience, and contacts throughout this industry by working in many areas over more than 40 years.

These areas of activity include general electrical contracting, design, installation and service work, traffic parking management, fire alarm manufacturing and installation, switchboard design and manufacture, and heavy industrial service and installation operations. He accumulated all this experience by owning or by working for various companies in each of these sectors.

In addition, he worked as a chief test engineer at A&G Price ltd, testing high voltage control switch gear up to 33kV indoor and outdoor cubicles.

Independent testing and inspections of residential or commercial buildings for the purpose of providing a certificate of verification either for the owner of the building or for the insurance company.

The thermal imaging camera option has gained significant popularity, in homeowners and managers demanding for this specific service. This is a great way to secure their overall installation integrity and their on-going safety.

Inspection services may also include hazardous, medical and other types of installations that require site-specific inspections. Caravan park installation is one of the examples that come to mind.

For electrical installations by registered electricians that require third-party inspections, we supply a record of inspection certificate.

We also offer services of periodic re-inspection for continued current certification. These services are meant to confirm that the operations of a site are safe and compliant to local laws and regulations.
