Allan Tongs Boat builders has been in business building custom composite and traditional luxury boats in Auckland, New Zealand since 1983. We work with New Zealand’s leading marine designers and work closely with our clients to ensure the finished product exceeds all expectations.

Allan Tongs Boat Building Yard predominately builds high quality, custom, one-off motor yachts for both local and overseas clients. 

In our large, purpose built premises we employ a team of specialist, qualified boat builders, marine cabinet makers, painters and marine engineers. Members of our team have been involved in high profile composite builds, such as Volvo round the world race yachts and America’s Cup yachts. This gives us a broad skill base, including timber and composite/resin infusion projects.

We have recently launched an ELITE 19.8m Sky-lounge motor yacht, designed by Bill Upfold named HIGHLANDER, for a repeat client.

HIGHLANDER sleeps 12 people in five cabins, three with ensuites.

Currently we are working on a 13M Elite Sports Sedan as well as promoting an exciting new Hand-laid GRP moulded, 43′ Production boat the Elite AT43.

We welcome enquiries from individuals wanting to pursue a quality boating lifestyle. We have long-standing relationships with New Zealand’s major boat designers but would also welcome clients with designs from established overseas designers.

The new Elite AT43

New Production Elite Motor Yacht

The Elite AT43 is an exciting new player on the New Zealand luxury motor yacht scene designed by Bill Upfold (Elite) and built in New Zealand by us here at Allan Tongs Boatbuilder – people who know, love and live our unique kiwi boating lifestyle.

The 43-foot Sports Sedan offers a generous cockpit for fishing or scuba diving, as well as a relaxed outdoor dining. It should appeal to the family fishermen, as well as the luxury-minded cruiser.

GRP moulded, but with so many options it will feel like a custom build, the new production launch is offered in single, or twin-engine configurations, two or three cabins, galley up ordown, and with great choices of interior finishes.

While the Elite AT43 will be built with the care and precision of a custom Elite motor yacht, it will take much, much less time to complete and carry a production boat price tag.
