Bluefix Boatworks boat builders, cabinet makers and marine painters are based in the Bay of Islands Marina Boat Yard in Opua, Bay of Islands.

Our purpose built new build and refit facility can accommodate vessels up to 10.5m in height and 26m in length.  The Opua boat yard has a 50 tonne travel lift on site and hard stand storage available.  If you are looking to get work done on your boat, be it big or small, the team at Bluefix Boatworks would love to look after you and provide an unbeatable service.  We can also offer catamaran haul out with the help of the very professional team at Exclusive Boat Haulage.

Bluefix Boatworks also provide a repairs and mainenance service for vessels on Northland’s beautiful East Coast including Opua, Kerikeri, Whangaroa and Whangarei.  Our shed and yard is situated in the Bay of Islands Marina Boat Yard in Opua, Northland. We can accommodate vessels up to 80 feet and can build, refit or repair your vessel in a covered,safe environment. Owner Brad Rowe is an experienced qualified boat builder with vast experience.  We work with all materials including composite, plywood and traditional timber boat building repairs.
