Since 1978 Kiwi Auto-Marine Upholsterers Ltd have specialised in a wide variety of marine, automotive, commercial machinery, industrial equipment, and domestic upholstery products and services.  We have a friendly, creative and highly skilled team on hand to design and manufacture custom products and assist with your individual specifications and requirements.  In addition, we provide a complete range of upholstery alterations and remedial work across these sectors.  Our experienced trimmers can match most materials, colours and styles ensuring a high quality finish to enhance, restore, protect and add value to your vehicle, leisure craft or asset.  We are also fully equipped to deal with insurance claims and different challenges in order to handle whatever services you may require.

Our Workshop Services:

Marine:

As the marine environment is extremely harsh we only use top quality materials and durables that are designed to last and withstand the elements.  Our comprehensive trailer boat upholstery work includes the repair and replacement of roadcovers, all-over covers, backdrops, clears, bimini top covers and canopy frames, stone guards, winch, anchor and outboard motor covers, back to back seats, pedestals, bow and stern seat squabs, side panels, dashboards and crash panels, fish bin lids and backrests, privacy curtains and carpets.  If your covers need reinforcing, new shockcords, durables, zips, velcro or binding we can assist.  We also repair and recover various makes and models of jet ski seats. 

Automotive:

We provide automotive upholstery services that encompass a wide variety of remedial work.  This includes the repair or replacement of seat covers, cigarette burn repairs, console and gear lever cover repairs, back/headrests and cushion foam shaping and modifications. We also repair and recover motor cycle and pillion passenger seats, motorhome and caravan squabs and replace vehicle headlinings.

Commercial:

The commercial team is dedicated to giving you durable, great-looking covers and upholstery to protect and extend the life of your assets.  We repair and recover all commercial truck, bus, van, crane and forkhoist seats.  Custom make and fit tonneau covers and clears.  Manufacture machinery/equipment and industrial covers to suit your needs. In addition, we repair and replace campervan privacy curtains, squabs, and carpets.  Re-upholster and repair dentistry chairs and stools.  Line van interiors with carpet plus repair and recover sporting equipment, gym apparatus, banners and signage.

Domestic:

Our creative upholsterers are on hand to custom design and make robust, stylish covers to protect and preserve the life of your outdoor furniture (e.g. Seating, BBQ’s, equipment, tables and chairs) which are prone to fading and UV damage in NZ’s climate.  They also repair and recover indoor/outdoor furniture squabs, bar stool cushions and backrests, bay window squabs and bean bag covers.  Our fully trained staff have an in-depth product knowledge of top quality fabrics, vinyl and canvas and are keen to assist with colour choices and provide aftercare maintenance advice for your upholstery to ensure longevity and keep surfaces looking their very best.
