Aluminium RIBs

Lancer has developed a range of robust high performing Aluminium RIBs to suit the toughest users. The RU and RS models feature Lancer’s patented 3T tube design that maximise hull shape without compromising on the Hypalon collar shape. Aluminium rigid inflatable boats are typically lighter than other types of RIB and offer easy towing or lifting. Using marine grade aluminium on the RIB allows the boats to be driven hard and used waters where hull damage needs to be considered. The Lancer range has sizes from 2.3m to 5.4m, custom larger sizes are available.

Fibreglass RIBs

Fibreglass is tried and tested on boats over many years. Lancer’s hypalon tubes create the perfect partner to create a versatile and strong RIB. Lancer have been making inflatable boats longer than anyone else in the southern hemisphere. With experience comes expertise. The Lancer story began in Auckland, New Zealand, in 1971. Founded by an industrial designer, Lancer took a high-tech approach to the business of building inflatable boats.

Lancer Industries are World Leaders in Inflatable Boats and Hypalon Products.

Driven by the desire to innovate, Lancer won industrial design awards for its range of deep-v inflatable boats in the 1980s. It also succeeded in gaining contracts in the defence sector. In 1989 it became the first company outside Europe to win SOLAS (Safety Of Life At Sea) certification for manufacturing rescue boats. In the same year it built the world’s largest RIB – a 17-metre rigid inflatable boat. This record has since been bettered on two further occasions by Lancer.
