Located just inside the entrance to Whangarei Harbour, Marsden Cove Marina is an ideal point of entry to New Zealand with all tide access, Customs, 24/7 fuel jetty, a vessel haul-out service, and hardstand facility. The 230-berth Marina resides in the centre of the Marsden Cove canal housing development.
A commercial centre offers a general store, restaurant and bar, fishing club while marina facilities include a lounge, laundry and ablution block. Marine services include repair, painters, riggers, upholstery, marine electrical and diesel mechanics. The sheltered, picturesque deep-water harbour offers access to some of world’s finest marine reserves and nearby fishing grounds. Marsden Cove Marina is also the site of Northland’s most popular public boat ramp.
Operating 6 days per week, the haul-out ramp can accommodate vessels up to 12 metres wide, and the custom built Roodberg HBC80-VEL hydraulic slip-way trailer can carry vessels weighing up to 80 tonnes, to a maximum length of 35 metres.
The 1-hectare hardstand facility has heavy-duty surface, video surveillance and secure fencing. A dedicated washdown area is available for vessels requiring a quick “lift and wash”. For longer stays, certified weight-rated stands and cradles ensure vessels are properly balanced and secure.
